It is the middle of January and has been an arctic blast here in my little corner of the world. Temperatures dipping into the minuses and now 6” of snow blanketing the woods. And yet, good things come from being sequestered. I have slowed WAY down from my fall and holiday pace and am finding the solitude welcoming. The best is the abundance of quiet time spent creating new works in my studio. At first the silence was strange with only the sounds of nature entering my world. New images and emotions whispered in my ear “TRY this new approach, PLAY with this new thought, what if you go here and do this”. You have all the time in the world so enjoy the process. YES I am!
I have added a few of my new paintings to the website and marked SOLD on the ones that found new homes. If you see a painting that tweaks your interest email or phone for additional information. We can also set up a time to visit my studio.
My works were on display at the West Baden Hotel in French Lick November. and December. along with other artists from the Brown County Art Guild. I wasn’t able to visit but appreciated the opportunity that the Guild provided.
If you are visiting Brown County stop in at the Brown County Art Guild where my work is always on display.
I hope this winter season finds you well and rested and enjoying this quiet time of the year. Dixie
